Objectivos Aprofundamento da aprendizagem das principais correntes teóricas da sociologia contemporânea, através do estudo de grandes obras representativas daquelas correntes.

Processo de avaliação A avaliação consta de uma exposição em aula (25%), preparada e organizada em grupo de acordo com o guião do sumário, e de um ensaio individual (75%) com um máximo de 20.000 caracteres (com espaços). O ensaio inclui, obrigatoriamente, o tratamento de um tema com base em, pelo menos, duas das obras do programa. Prazo de entrega do ensaio: 30 de junho de 2018.
Processo de ensino-aprendizagem O estudo individual, com base na bibliografia, é orientado e apoiado pela realização de três aulas sobre os debates teóricos, da responsabilidade do docente, e cinco aulas sobre as obras selecionadas, da responsabilidade, em termos expositivos, de grupos de doutorandos (previamente inscritos para esse efeito). Os materiais de trabalho incluem uma bibliografia geral, para todos os doutorandos, e uma bibliografia específica, a trabalhar pelos doutorandos responsáveis pelas apresentações em aula.
