Objectives
- To enable students to solve managerial problems - To enable students to research management themes - To complete a thesis that may contribute to the improvement of the managerial practices.
Program
In the beginning of this course the students identify a problem in an enterprise and will analyze and propose a solution. Since the beginning a supervisor will be allocated to the student. With the supervisor the students will: -Formulate the research problem -Identify the relevant literature and elaborate a theoretical and empirical revision -Propose a supported solution for the problem -Write the thesis Throughout this process the students receive important information for the theme of their theses, for example, literature that is relevant for their problem and advices on the design of their study.
Evaluation Method
The thesis will be assessed, in public, by a panel of judges, after the supervisor?s approval of its conclusion and quality to be presented in public tests. The assessment is based on the scientific merit of the study, on its theoretical and methodological adequacy and its contribution to the improvement of the managerial practices
Teaching Method
The methods are the following: 1.Thesis guidance in direct contact with the supervisor in individual sessions, or in small groups of students whose theses topics are very similar. 2.Attendance of seminars in which each student presents his/her thesis progress and the difficulties met.
