Objectivos / Objectives
| Apresentar aos estudantes algumas pesquisas exemplares assentes em modelos analíticos diferentes, que reflitam a relação entre Estado e mercado na provisão de políticas públicas em áreas sectoriais distintas. |
Present the students with some paradigmatic case study of research in public policies, which rest in distinct analytical frameworks. This will be done reflecting diverse interactions between State and market in providing for public policies in different sectors. |

Processo de avaliação / Evaluation process
| A avaliação é realizada em dois momentos: num primeiro momento os alunos farão uma apresentação na aula, em grupo, e num segundo um ensaio individual. O primeiro momento corresponde a 20% da nota final, enquanto o segundo corresponde a 70%, sendo os restantes 10% resultantes da participação nas aulas. |
There are two moments for assement: a first one where students are invited to do a group presentation; and a second one consisting of an individual essay. The group presentation corresponds to 20% of the final mark, whereas the individual essay corresponds to 70%. Class participation corresponds to 10%. |

| Todas as aulas são téorico-práticas, consistindo na discussão e análise dos livros. |
All seminars are theoretical and practical, consisting of the discussion and analysis of the books. |
