Objectives The overall goal of this course is to provide students with an overall approach to operations management and its impact in terms of company ability to compete, highlighting the alignment of operations goals with company's goals, the design of the operations system and its planning and management, throughout time.

Evaluation Method Assessment throughout the term:
1. Assessments in class - 20%.
- Two assessments: 10% each
2. Mid-term exam - 30%.
3.  Individual end-of-term exam - 50%.
Passing grade is 10 points, with at least 8 points (out of 20) in each test (mid-term and end-of-term test).

OPTION 2:
End-of-term exam - 100%.
A passing grade means 10 or above (over 20).
Teaching Method During the term the following methodologies will be used:
- Traditional / lectures for presentation of theoretical frameworks.
- Participative methodologies in the analysis and solution of exercises.
- Participative methodologies in the analysis and discussion of case studies, and other supporting texts.
- Self-study.
Observations Students under the "Internal regulation for Students with Special Statutes" should contact the Curricular Unit professor or coordinator during the first week of classes of each semester to allow for framing of learning processes and evaluation of the curricular unit.
