Objectives
At the end of this learning unit, the student should know the main issues related to the internationalization of firms.
Program
1. Introduction to international business and globalization 2. Globalization, cultural environment and geoeconomy 3. Challenges and critical factors of business trategies in globalization 3. Organize the presence in international markets 5. Crucial factors for success in the internationalized company 6. Integrated approaches to internationalisation
Evaluation Method
Approval in this curricular unit can be obtained in two ways:
I. Periodic assessment including the following elements: - Individual test: 60%. - Group work: 40% (resulting from written report and discussion in class)
II - Final evaluation corresponding to an exam (100%)
Teaching Method
Each student should acquire analytical, information gathering, written and oral communication skills, according to the established learning goals. The following teaching-learning methodologies will be used: 1. Expositive to present the theoretical frameworks 2. Participative with analysis and resolution of application exercises 3. Participative with analysis and real case-study discussion 4. Active with execution of individual and group assignments 5. Self-study
